    1. About the messaging program

    Skin and Self Med Spa, also referred to as Skin & Self, offers text messaging to help guests complete and manage inquiries, bookings, payments, and permitted follow-up. Messages may be sent by Skin & Self or through a service provider acting for us, including automated technology. These SMS Terms supplement our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

    3. Types of messages

    Depending on what you authorize and your activity, messages may include:

    • Inquiry responses and consultation or booking follow-up.
    • Appointment confirmations, reminders, arrival instructions, changes, cancellations, and rescheduling links.
    • Payment, package, gift-card, receipt, or transaction notices.
    • Reminders to finish a booking you started but did not complete.
    • Post-visit check-ins, service feedback, and review requests.
    • Offers, events, or service updates only when the applicable consent permits marketing.

    Text messages are not monitored as an emergency service and may not be reviewed immediately. Do not send urgent medical information by text.

    4. Frequency and charges

    Message frequency varies based on your appointments, requests, and communication choices. Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Skin & Self does not charge a separate fee for the messaging program, but your carrier may charge you. Contact your carrier for plan details.

    5. How to stop messages or revoke consent

    Reply STOPto a Skin & Self text to stop messages from that program. We also recognize common opt-out words such as QUIT, END, CANCEL, and UNSUBSCRIBE when supported. You may also clearly revoke consent by calling (914) 948-1989, emailing myskinandself@gmail.com, or using another reasonable method that identifies the phone number and messages you want stopped.

    We honor valid revocation requests promptly and within the period required by law. You may receive one final confirmation that the opt-out was processed. After opting out, you can opt in again only through a new affirmative request. If you participate in separate programs, identify each program you want stopped.

    A request to stop marketing does not prevent a one-to-one response you specifically ask for or a legally permitted, nonmarketing message necessary to address an active transaction, safety issue, or request. Tell us if you want all text communication stopped.

    6. Help and support

    Reply HELP for available support information, call (914) 948-1989, or email myskinandself@gmail.com. Include the mobile number involved, but never send a full payment-card number, account password, or highly sensitive medical information by text or email.

    7. Phone-number responsibility

    You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the number provided and are authorized to consent to messages at that number. Notify us promptly if the number changes, is disconnected, or is reassigned, and opt out before giving up the number when possible. You must be at least 18 years old to enroll on your own.

    8. Delivery and carrier limitations

    Delivery depends on wireless networks, devices, and carriers and is not guaranteed. Messages may be delayed, duplicated, or undelivered. Supported carriers and short-code or long-code availability may change. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. We may suspend or change the program to address security, abuse, law, or provider limitations.

    9. Privacy and recordkeeping

    We use your phone number, consent record, message content, delivery status, and related booking or customer information to operate the program, respond, honor preferences, prevent abuse, and maintain required records. Our communications provider processes information for us. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

    SMS is not an appropriate channel for detailed clinical records or urgent health information. Messages may appear on a locked screen or be seen by anyone with access to your device or phone account.

    10. Changes and contact

    We may update these terms prospectively as the program, providers, or law changes. If a material change requires new consent, we will request it. You can always stop messages instead of accepting a changed marketing program.
